A Vapour Pressure Thermometer is a reliable temperature measuring instrument that operates on the principle that the vapour pressure of a volatile liquid changes with temperature. It consists of a sensing bulb, capillary tube, and a pressure-responsive element (such as a Bourdon tube) connected to a dial indicator.

As the temperature around the bulb changes, the liquid inside partially vaporizes, creating pressure that is transmitted through the capillary to the measuring element. This pressure is then converted into a calibrated temperature reading on the dial.

The instrument is widely used in industrial processes, chemical plants, refrigeration systems, and HVAC applications where remote temperature measurement is required.
